Regrettably, Tottenham Hotspur might find themselves searching for a replacement for Harry Kane soon.

Recent reports have been associating the Spurs striker with a potential move to Bayern Munich.

With these developments, Spurs are exploring several forward options in the event of Kane’s departure.

For example, The Daily Mail reported that Tottenham has Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest in mind.

It seems Spurs are contemplating a move for the 22-year-old should Kane depart.

Although Forest prices Johnson at £50million, Tottenham is reportedly prepared to part with £35million along with bonuses.

Despite Steve Cooper’s desire to retain the Welsh native, Forest might need to take a pragmatic approach due to FFP constraints.

Emerging Star

Obviously, losing Kane would be a significant loss and an emotional event for Tottenham, necessitating speedy efforts in finding a replacement.

Securing Johnson could provide Tottenham with a rising star whose early career mirrors the trajectory of Kane at his home team.

A product of the City Ground club’s academy, Johnson climbed the ranks, landing a debut three years prior, and has since accrued 105 games, 29 goals, and 12 assists for the Reds.

Johnson could indeed prove to be an excellent prospect for Tottenham, showcasing great skill, potential, and Premier League experience.

Total Football Analysis labels the 22-year-old as a “complete” forward.

On top of that, a 2023 report by The Mirror noted he clocked the highest speed in the Premier League.

His 36.70kph outperforms other notable players like Mykhaylo Mudryk, Darwin Nunez, and Erling Haaland.

Interestingly, Johnson shares an agency with Tottenham’s own Ryan Sessegnon.

Naturally, anyone chosen to step into Kane’s shoes has a tremendous gap to fill.

Nonetheless, Johnson seems suitably equipped to evolve into the role if he ends up signing with Spurs.
