Reporter Dan Kilpatrick has provided insider news on Micky van de Ven’s possible move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to information from within the club.
Speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Kilpatrick discussed Tottenham’s current interest in Van de Ven.
Throughout this summer, Tottenham has been active, securing James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario, while Manor Solomon is set for a medical examination at Hotspur Way this week.
The club is expected to pay closer attention to reinforcing their defense, which proved to be a weak spot in the past season.
Micky van de Ven, together with Edmond Tapsoba, appears to be Tottenham’s primary target.

As per De Telegraaf, Van de Ven has already agreed to the move to North London, though Spurs still require to hammer out the final details with Wolfsburg, his current club.
Kilpatrick, however, reports that Tottenham have yet to formally express interest in the 22-year-old player.
Tottenham’s Take on the Van de Ven Deal
While featuring on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Kilpatrick revealed Spurs’ current stance on Van de Ven.
“From what I’ve gathered, Tottenham has not officially approached the player as of this morning,” Kilpatrick disclosed. “It seems to be a matter of semantics. This summer is truly shaping up to be a summer of semantics. What constitutes an official approach? What’s a bid for Kane?
“Regardless, it appears this deal is inching towards completion, which is positive because Tottenham is in dire need of bolstering its central defense.”

Tottenham has a significant choice to make in the upcoming days – whether to go for Van de Ven or Tapsoba.
Last season, both players had excellent stints in Germany, with Van de Ven becoming a constant figure at Wolfsburg.
His impressive speed and ball-handling skills will fit well within Ange Postecoglou’s scheme.
A large proportion of Spurs fans would like to see the club acquire both players in their quest to revamp their defensive line.
At the present time, it seems that only one of the two will join Tottenham this season. Yet, either player would be a marked improvement on the club’s current central defenders.
