Confirming their latest addition, Tottenham Hotspur are finalising plans to sign young striker Alejo Veliz, who’ll be making the journey from Rosario in South America to north London.

Young Veliz, 19, is ready to pen his name on the contract, shifting from Rosario to lend his skills in improving Tottenham’s frontline.

The news surrounding Tottenham’s intention to sign Veliz began making rounds this week. In response, the club took swift action to land the player, who received a personal endorsement from Ange Postecoglou.

Football Journalist X (Twitter) quoted Fabrizio Romano last night, substantiating the rumour with his classic ‘here we go’ phrase confirming an imminent deal.

Romano revealed that a physical fitness test will be scheduled in a few days. Despite last-minute overtures from another club, Veliz has declined their interest. The expected transfer deal will cost Rosario around £13m initially, along with some added bonuses.
