Tottenham anticipates significant impact from 26-year-old during Ange Postecoglou’s pre-season

Within Tottenham Hotspur, the hope is high that the midfielder Tanguy Ndombele can captivate Ange Postecoglou in the pre-season period.

As per the Evening Standard’s report, these are early indications as Tottenham prepare to bounce back into action.

The new Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou, already has a considerable pool of players training at Hotspur Way.

Even though the players involved in international commitments have not yet returned, many Spurs players are currently undergoing training.

In the coming summer, Postecoglou will thoroughly evaluate each player, making important decisions accordingly.

Considering the absence of European football next season, the squad seems overcrowded, indicating that few players might depart.

Tottenham would possibly want midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to make a positive impression on Postecoglou this summer.

Previously, a proposal for the 26-year-old player got declined in this transfer window.

After being sidelined by Antonio Conte, Postecoglou might now offer the French player an opportunity.

Tottenham wishing for Ndombele’s good impression on Postecoglou

As revealed by the Evening Standard, there’s a resurgence of hope that Ndombele could receive a second chance under Postecoglou’s helm. On his last visit at Hotspur Way, he was instructed to train alone or with the Under-23s by Antonio Conte. This week, he has been fully involved in training.

Ndombele’s sign-up is still the highest in Tottenham’s club history, arriving via Mauricio Pochettino for an impressive £63m.

During his two seasons at the club, the 26-year-old player displayed flashes of exceptional talent.

However, his relations with Antonio Conte went sour and he was loaned out to Napoli the previous year.

Despite being a substitute most of the time, he helped the Italian squad bag the ultimate Serie A title.

Tottenham aspires for Ndombele’s impressive performance during the pre-season under Postecoglou, which will help justify his hefty transfer cost.

If Tottenham chooses to trade the player this summer, it would result in a major loss.

With adequate time to reach his peak given his age, he could seamlessly fit into any of the two number eight roles that Postecoglou is likely to play.

It will be intriguing to see whether he gets an opportunity to participate in the pre-season friendly matches of Tottenham.
