Tottenham Prefers Tosin Adarabioyo over Tapsoba, Says Reporter

According to updates, Tottenham Hotspur may now predominantly seek to acquire Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo rather than Edmond Tapsoba this summer.

Jouralist Ryan Taylor shared this in a discussion with Give Me Sport about Tottenham’s issues in the center-back position.

So far in this transfer season, multiple key figures have joined the club under Ange Postecoglou’s leadership.

With the arrival of James Maddison, the team now has a much needed creative force in the midfield.

With the expected departure of Hugo Lloris, Spurs have taken on Guglielmo Vicario to step into his shoes.

Having lost two wingers last season, roping in Manor Solomon as a free transfer is seen as a strategic move.

However, a distinct problem continues to persist in the center-back position in the team.

When asked about his frustration with the lack of new acquisitions at his recent press briefing, Postecoglou replied: “No, this is just typical in the football world, mate.

“I’ve been in this field for a long time. I wish it was as simple as ordering from Amazon, with deliveries arriving daily.

“But unfortunately, I can’t expect immediate results. It is just the nature of football, so there’s no use in being frustrated. All we can do is continue to work diligently to make it happen.”

Tottenham may now move towards the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo, along with Micky Van de Ven, rather than Edmond Tapsoba this summer.

The estimated £13m signing seems like a smoother transition as compared to the Burkina Faso international

Tottenham Might Give Preference to Tosin Over Tapsoba

Discussing the center-back scenario, Taylor mentioned, “There is a strong inclination towards Tosin, the Fulham center-back who wasn’t included in Brentford’s line-up for Philadelphia.

“Considering he is a local player, he has attracted attention from Spurs and it appears that he could leave Fulham this summer since his contract will be up in a year.

“So, it’s likely that the top choices will be Micky van de Ven and Adarabioyo.”

Financially, it makes more sense for Tottenham to sign Tosin as he is in the final phase of his contract with Fulham.

The current asking price for Tapsoba stands at £45m, and Leverkusen suggests that he might stay put this summer.

With the Premier League kicking off soon, Spurs won’t have the luxury to engage in protracted negotiations with a club that doesn’t want to let go of its player.

Tosin, proven at the Premier League level, along with Van de Ven, would be a valuable addition to the Spurs squad.
