Micky Van de Ven, a potential recruit for Tottenham Hotspur, noticeably celebrated Jurrien Timber’s recent move to Arsenal.
The Dutch international’s possession was confirmed by the Gunners before their touring expedition to the United States.
The recruitment of Jurrien Timber marks the second summer signing for Arsenal, following Kai Havertz, and was soon followed by Declan Rice’s arrival.
After losing out to Manchester City in the previous Premier League season, Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta, has been actively bolstering his team this summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, also has his hands full with team matters.
Having missed out on European football entirely, Tottenham is scrambling to retain their top player, Harry Kane.
The Spurs have made some noteworthy acquisitions this summer, including James Maddison, Manor Solomon, and Guglielmo Vicario.
Tottenham has also shown interest in young centre-back Micky Van de Ven as they are in urgent need of strengthening their defensive line-up.

Both Van de Ven and Timber have played together on the international circuit and are reportedly moving to North London.
However, once they make their transition, they are bound to become rivals.
Van de Ven Cheers Timber’s Transfer to Arsenal
Timber declared his Arsenal association via Instagram by asserting: “You can call me a Gunner from now on.”
In response to this post, Van de Ven showed his support to Timber with a love heart emoji.

Tottenham is reportedly seeking to acquire the £35m-rated Van De Ven to pair him up with Cristian Romero in the defensive lineup.
Last season, the Spurs’ poor defensive performance prompted the retirement of Hugo Lloris.
For Timber and Van de Ven, transferring to the Premier League could be a logical next step in their careers.

Timber has played for Ajax for multiple seasons and already boasts more than 20 national team appearances for the Netherlands.
Van de Ven’s rapid progression throughout his career has enabled Wolfsburg to potentially reap considerable financial benefits through his transfer.
Spurs fans might not be too thrilled to see their potential signee celebrate the fact that Timber is joining their closest rivals.
