Potential Exit of 22-Year-Old Tottenham Aficionado Disclosed by Journalist

Alex Crook from TalkSPORT, has hinted at the possibility of Tottenham Hotspur being open to the idea of selling Oliver Skipp in the ongoing transfer window.

Despite already mading significant transfers including permanently acquiring Dejan Kulusevski and adding Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison, Tottenham continues to explore opportunities in the transfer market. The team is headed by Ange Postecoglou.

Alongside the influx of new talent, Crook suggests a need for Tottenham to offload certain players, with Skipp possibly being among the ones exiting.

Oliver Skipp might be up for Sale this Summer by Tottenham

Oliver Skipp is a well-loved figure amongst Tottenham fans, and for good reasons.

The 22-year-old, who came from Tottenham’s academy, has shown impressive performances in the senior team. He notably scored an incredible goal against Chelsea last season, earning him the descriptor “unbelievable” from Harry Kane (BBC Sport).

Skipp consistently put in strong performances during Tottenham’s difficult season, which is commendable for a player of his age.

Many consider him as Tottenham’s midfield future, but according to Crooks, Postecoglou might consider selling him if a reasonable offer is put forward.

The journalist mentioned that Tottenham is open to proposals for players like Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, and possibly Pierre Hojbjerg in midfield who had a rough season. “Then there are players like Harry Winks and Ollie Skipp – they could also be given the green light to leave if Tottenham receives attractive offers.”

Our Stance:

We consider this scenario to be quite improbable.

Despite ending last season with a few mistakes, Oliver Skipp is an extremely gifted player who, at 22, is likely to only get better in the years ahead.

Additionally, it’s likely that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be leaving the club this summer and Rodrigo Bentancur is not expected to play for several months to come.

Given that Skipp still has four years remaining on his contract and plays a substantial role at Tottenham, it would be surprising to see him being sold this summer.
