According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur is considering adding Inter Milan’s midfielder, Hakan Calhanoglu, to their squad this summer.
Thus far, Tottenham’s signings include Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli and James Maddison from Leicester City, marking a formidable start to the Ange Postecoglou era in North London. The recruitment efforts, however, are far from over.
Tottenham continues to scout for potential additions, and InterLive suggests that Calhanoglu could be on their radar for a soon-to-be-announced bid.

Tottenham Might Offer £30m for Hakan Calhanoglu
Tottenham needs to fortify several sections of their squad.
While it’s great that a new goalkeeper and a No.10 have already been brought in, Tottenham still needs to source fresh centre-backs and possibly another midfielder.
The report indicates that the North London side keeps a finger on the pulse of the transfer market and emphasizes that Tottenham is a team to watch in the competition to sign Hakan Calhanoglu.
Referred to as a ‘dangerous‘ player in half spaces by scouting website Pythagoras In Boots, Calhanoglu is entering the last year of his contract at Inter, with many expecting him to renew his stay there.
The report, however, suggests that the Champions League finalists might consider selling him if a lucrative enough offer is made. Tottenham, with their aggressive activities in this window, might make a £30 million bid for Calhanoglu, according to the report.
It remains uncertain whether this amount will be sufficient to pry Calhanoglu away from Inter.

Labelled as the Next Mesut Ozil
Before his stint in Milan, Hakan Calhanoglu made waves in Germany.
The Turkish player formerly represented Karlsruhe SC, where club legend Winfried Schäfer closely monitored his growth. Even after Calhanoglu left the club, Schäfer continued to follow his career.
In a December 2013 interview with BILD, Schäfer compared Calhanoglu to Mesut Ozil.
Schäfer lauded Calhanoglu as the ‘new Ozil,’ and said, “Hakan is an exceptional young man. He is full of self-assuredness, has a brave approach, and moves towards the goal. Just fantastic. Similar to Mesut, he has the potential to scale great heights. But for this, he requires a coach committed to enhancing his skills daily. A trainer who constantly encourages Hakan both tactically and physically.“
