Insider Report: Daniel Levy’s Set Price for Harry Kane Unveiled

Journalist Dean Jones has stated that Tottenham Hotspur’s chairman, Daniel Levy, is asking for approximately £120 million for Harry Kane’s sale in the ongoing transfer session.

Jones made these comments while talking to GiveMeSport and shared updates about Kane’s possible transfer to Bayern Munich.

As Kane’s contract with Tottenham nears its end, his future has been a topic of much discussion in the initial stages of the transfer season.

Last week, Tottenham rejected two offers from Bayern, including a £68 million bid for the captain of the England team.

Despite the rejections, Bayern has shown determination to acquire Kane, with board member Uli Hoeness expressing optimism about striking a deal.

The German club might have to considerably increase their bid to secure Kane. According to Jones, Daniel Levy expects no less than £120 million for his star player.

Levy’s Asking Price for Kane

While speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones stated that should the bid exceed £100 million, Levy might be forced to consider the sale of Kane in this transfer window.

If Bayern makes a more significant bid, Levy would face a challenging dilemma, as this might be his last chance to secure a major deal for Kane and for the player to leave the country. This way, Spurs could avoid getting hurt by him in the future, said Jones.

There’s a chance, expressed Jones, that he could join teams like Manchester United or Chelsea, or another potential rival club on a free transfer next year. However, if he joins Bayern now, he’s almost sure to remain with them for a few years while he accumulates his accolades.

Furthermore, Jones suggested that although Tottenham has been firm in their decision of not selling Kane, speculation arises whether the businessman in Levy could genuinely stick with this decision, or whether there is a point at which he would entertain offers.

According to Jones, if Bayern proposes an offer well over £100 million, at around £120 million, it would definitely be worth considering. However, the possibility of this happening is quite slim. Though Bayern is serious about signing Kane and has been given assurances that he is willing to move, it’s uncertain whether they can meet the high asking price. There are reports that Tottenham plans on presenting a new contract offer to Kane, but at the moment, he has shown no interest in signing.

It hardly seems likely that Levy will stray from his valuation of Kane unless the player himself attempts to instigate the move.

At present, Bayern’s offers don’t even come close to matching the price set by Tottenham’s chairman, making the likelihood of a transfer seem more remote.

Needless to say, Spurs would urgently want to clarify the future of their top-scoring player, especially as the club’s new manager Ange Postecoglou starts preparing for the upcoming season.
