Proposed Deal for Skilled Midfielder Declined by Tottenham; Postecoglou Demonstrates Noteworthy Backing

An offer for Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele from Galatasaray has been turned down, according to reports.

Further details on the tentative bid for the 26-year-old have been provided by Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun, as highlighted on his Twitter account.

After several acquisitions this summer, Tottenham Hotspur will soon need to shift their focus to player departures.

Ange Postecoglou is managing an extensive squad in Australia which scarcely includes any young players.

Considering that a number of key players were unable to join the squad due to injuries, it is evident that changes are required.

Numerous players, including the widely sought-after Harry Kane, have attracted interest during this summer’s transfer period.

However, according to Daniel Levy, securing Harry Kane’s signature will entail considerable expenses, considering the interest from Bayern Munich.

The future of Ndombele remains unknown.

While Antonio Conte did not include the standout midfielder in his plans, Postecoglou has expressed positive sentiments about the player following his pre-season performance.

A lower than expected bid for Ndombele has been turned down by Tottenham Hotspur. They purchased the player for a hefty £63m in 2019.

Ndombele was unable to compete in the latest friendly match due to injury, but seems prepared to compete for his place in the team under Postecoglou’s leadership.

Bid for Ndombele Rejected by Tottenham Hotspur

Suzgun shared on Twitter that Tottenham had turned down Galatasaray’s offer of 8 million euros (approximately £7m) to be paid over four years for Tanguy Ndombélé.

The significant transfer fees and high player wages (net 4.7 million Euros) present major obstacles. Fenerbahçe is also reportedly interested in the player. “It seems difficult,” Suzgun added.
