Manor Solomon, the latest addition to Tottenham Hotspur, says that Ange Postecoglou was instrumental in persuading him to be part of the team.
In a chat with The Athletic, Solomon claimed his decision to join Tottenham was instantaneous after learning about their interest.

He expressed, “The moment Tottenham showed interest, I knew I wanted to be part of this team.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my stint at Fulham. I felt a deep connection with their supporters and the club treated me exceptionally well from day one.
“However, when a big club like Spurs shows interest and the manager wants you onboard, it’s nearly impossible to refuse.
“After discussing this opportunity with the manager, I was completely sold. I knew Tottenham was the right fit for me.”
Solomon, at 23, was secured by Spurs on a costless transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk, a Ukrainian team.
While on loan last season, the skilled winger netted five times for Fulham in 24 matches across all platforms.
Fulham’s supporters were understandably saddened when Solomon, an Israeli international, chose not to prolong his stint at Craven Cottage.
Despite facing tough competition from an in-form Willian, Solomon managed to create a powerful impression in games where he was a substitute.
Clearly, his commendable performances caught the attention of Tottenham and their newly appointed manager, Ange Postecoglou.
It is noteworthy that Solomon was given his first start of the preseason by the Australian manager and arguably, he did enough to earn a penalty for his team.
Postecoglou and Tottenham win over Solomon
Like in Fulham, Solomon will have to outperform a critical member of the Spurs to secure a starting position.
It would indeed be a shocker if Son Heung-min, who gave the friendly against West Ham a miss due to inadequate training, were to lose his spot.

The Korean star had a less-than-stellar season by his own standards, but anticipates making a comeback under Ange’s mentoring.
Solomon will also pose further competition for Brazilian forward Richarlison, a regular on the left field.
Richarlison had a rather disappointing start to the preseason against West Ham, but is hopeful of improvement in the forthcoming matches.
While Postecoglou has been successful in attracting new talent, he’s equally determined to revamp the performance of existing players.
The new manager will definitely wish for a clear resolution regarding Harry Kane’s status soon.
Yesterday, the club announced the decision not to sell Kane to a competitor in the Premier League.
While this news will surely bring joy to the Spurs fraternity, confirmation of Kane’s long-term commitment to the club would further enhance their happiness.
There’s no doubt that it’s going to be intriguing to witness the evolution of Postecoglou’s Spurs in the upcoming months.
