Perspective: Spurs Coach Ange Postecoglou Might Make Brilliant Decision with ‘One of the World’s Best Players’

Ange Postecoglou has taken the reins at Tottenham Hotspur, guiding the team in a promising direction.

Despite the rocky pre-season the Spurs experienced with one match getting cancelled, and a change of opponents in another, things are starting to look up.

Though a pre-season low may seem significant, Spurs recovered well and defeated the Singapore team 5-1.

Giovani Lo Celso has been with Spurs for 18 months without playing a competitive match due to a loan period. Recent rumors have suggested he might leave the team.

Postecoglou openly expressed his positive views about the 27-year-old player’s future after a recent game.

When Alasdair Gold asked him about rumors from Spain regarding Lo Celso’s departure, Postecoglou quipped, “You don’t have to go all the way to Spain, just ask the question,” according to football.london.

He added: “I’m really happy with Gio. He’s been impressing in training. You can see he’s a remarkable player and our playing styles align. I have enjoyed coaching him, and he seems to be enjoying our style of play. Everything is going well.”

A Spurs coach who finally understands Lo Celso is excellent news, indicating a high likelihood that he will remain with the team.

Lo Celso, admired by Lionel Messi, and described as ‘one of the world’s best players’ by his former Villarreal colleague Geronimo Rulli, has always been held in high regard.

In Spurs, however, he initially seemed out of place, but that seems to be changing now.

Postecoglou’s decision to enhance such an accomplished and exciting player could turn out to be a game-changer.
