James Maddison, Tottenham Hotspur’s player, was impressed by the performance of his fellow England teammate Jude Bellingham, who wore a Real Madrid shirt for the first time last night.
Following Bellingham’s first outing for Madrid, the England midfielder expressed his excitement about his countryman’s debut in the revered Real Madrid kit on Instagram.
Bellingham excitedly shared on his own account, “Enjoyed my premiere moments as a Madridista! Let’s maintain the momentum. Appreciate the support.”
To which James Maddison succinctly responded, “Fits you well.”

With three England caps to his name, Maddison is looking forward to enhancing his national career with his latest transfer move.
The recent Spurs addition debuted for Tottenham in a pre-season match versus West Ham last week.
He aimed to confront his previous squad, Leicester City, in a friendly game yesterday, but it got cancelled due to heavy rainfall.
Maddison, 26, joined Tottenham for a fee of £40m last month after his former team got demoted to the Championship.
Considering the current market prices for player transfers, the fee seems to be a quite a bargain.
Supporters of the Spurs are undoubtedly thrilled to witness their newest addition play at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the next season.
Maddison from Tottenham is pleased with Bellingham’s debut at Madrid
Discussing substantial transfer fees this summer, hardly any will supersede the £88.5m Real Madrid paid for Jude Bellingham.
While there are unlikely to be any objections to the value of the deal, Borussia Dortmund is surely content with the lucrative profit made on the English footballer.

In 2020, Bellingham migrated from Birmingham City to Dortmund for a fee of £30m.
Much like James Maddison at Norwich City, Bellingham established his reputation in the English Championship.
Bellingham played 41 matches for Birmingham in this division and Maddison had 47 appearances for Norwich in the Championship.
Both players are in the selection considerations for England this coming season, with manager Gareth Southgate expecting a strong start from both at their new clubs.
Southgate certainly has his sights set on the UEFA Euro 2024 next summer, and it’s anticipated that both players will make the cut for his squad.
