Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that, by introducing the Dutch international to the package, the French team is looking to reduce the cost of securing Kane.
Simons, 20, is poised to return to PSG after departing for Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven one year ago.
According to reports, the French title holders have triggered a £5 million redemption clause in his agreement, and Simons has since exited PSV’s pre-season practice camp.
This action implies a possible second exit for the young Dutch Cup winner, who had an impressive season with PSV last year.
The offensive midfielder contributed 19 goals and 9 assists in the 49 games he played, and even made his international debut during the World Cup.
Simons’ performance has led to glowing reviews from Rafael van der Vaart, a former Spurs player, who believes Simons has the potential to achieve ‘world-class’ status.
