Tottenham’s Interest in Signing £35m Player Recognized by the Player Himself

Netherlands’ young talent Micky Van de Ven has mentioned the interest shown by Tottenham Hotspur for him this summer.

In a conversation with Voetbal International, Van de Ven talked about the Spurs’ interest.

The 22-year-old recently played the full match at the European Championships for the Netherlands under-21 team.

So far, Micky Van de Ven has played every minute of the tournament, but his team must defeat Georgia tomorrow to advance.

The Wolfsburg and National team player, who is valued at £35m, has been outstanding throughout the season.

As a result of these performances, it is not surprising that Van de Ven has caught Tottenham’s attention.

Liverpool is also showing interest in the fast defender, and it appears that he might not remain in the Bundesliga for an extended period.

With ample time left in the transfer window, Van de Ven has now spoken about these rumors.

New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has yet to begin working with his new team.

If Postecoglou wants to reinforce his center-back options, he may need to evaluate them quickly to avoid missing out on Van de Ven.

When questioned if he is aware of Tottenham’s interest in him, Van de Ven responded: “I have been informed about it, I have seen it.

“As I have said before: my agent is handling it now. If serious offers come up, he will call me.”

The left-footed center-back could be a fantastic long-term addition for Tottenham.

He is among the quickest players in his position and extremely confident with the ball.

Both Wolfsburg and the Netherlands employ a possession-heavy approach where Van de Ven thrives.

He and Jan Paul van Hecke, a Brighton defender, usually initiate all Dutch attacks together.

Van de Ven is adept at making passes through the lines, often targeting talented midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

Tottenham’s interest in Van de Ven is understandable, as Postecoglou is likely to introduce a more attacking style.

The young defender would help Spurs launch attacks from deep positions and rapidly move the ball forward.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has also been targeted for a similar reason, indicating a pattern in Tottenham’s transfer interests.
