‘Fantastic’ Tottenham player could be subject to doubled bid by club amid recent developments

In the wake of Kylian Mbappe’s possible exit, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) might consider doubling their offer for Harry Kane, the lauded Tottenham Hotspur forward.

The Independent notes that there might be staunch competition over Kane, with Bayern Munich being the principal contender.

Kane is entering the last year of his contract with Tottenham, and despite two unsuccessful bids from Bayern, a more generous offer is anticipated.

If Mbappe decides to leave PSG for a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal – a Saudi Arabian club, this could throw Bayern’s plans into disarray.

In the event of Mbappe’s departure, the drive to secure Kane could escalate, not just by PSG, but also Premier League and Real Madrid.

PSG may raise Kane bid

According to The Independent, if Mbappe leaves and Kane is looking for a move, PSG will raise their bid considerably.

One insider indicated, “Their initial offer for the player will likely be twice as much.”

Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy indicates that a minimum fee of £100 million would be necessary for the club to consider letting their star scorer leave this summer.

If PSG put in an offer inspired by Mbappe’s exit, it might sufficiently meet Levy’s high standards.

The intensified interest in Kane could force Bayern Munich to up their bid, confident as they are in capturing Kane’s transfer.

Given PSG’s attempted sale of Mbappe, their interest in securing Kane comes as no shock.

Despite his team’s issues, the so-described ‘fantastic’ back, Kane, succeeded in scoring an impressive 30 Premier League goals for Tottenham last season.

While Kane’s willingness to move to Paris remains uncertain, there are indications that he prefers a transfer to Munich.

Bayern may have to increase their offer should PSG initiate a bid for Kane, as their previous two low offers were rejected.
