Chelsea Considers Signing Target Spurs Find ‘Absurd’

Chelsea is planning to reach out to Juventus’ new Director of Sports for the potential acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming summer transfer window, as reported by Dean Jones in the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast.

The Serbian attacker has long been rumoured for a transfer to the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur showing considerable interest in the proficient forward.

Nevertheless, Chelsea’s desire to bring in a new forward puts Vlahovic on their list of interests. Jones states that the Chelsea administration will touch base with Juventus within the next few hours to discuss recruitment of the giant forward.

Approach for Vlahovic soon to be made

Jones lends his opinion on Vlahovic’s situation.

“The whole issue depends on Dybala. Roma doesn’t want to let him go, but if he wishes to leave, the avenue is open. There has been some interest from Premier League clubs, and Chelsea is considering him alongside other potential transfers. They are expected to reach out to Juve’s new Director of Sports in the imminent hours,” Jones expressed.

Relies on Kane

The probability of Vlahovic heading to London this summer is high. However, it’s unclear which club, Tottenham or Chelsea, he will join.

While Chelsea currently has a more pressing requirement for a new striker, this could shift if Harry Kane leaves Spurs. Kane, with only a year remaining in his contract, has been associated with a potential move to Bayern Munich. If the English skipper exits, Tottenham will need to fill his spot, and Vlahovic is one of the few high-quality forwards available for purchase this summer.
