Tottenham Outperforms Liverpool Thanks to Daniel Levy, Scoring a Noteworthy £30m Athlete

Daniel Levy reportedly assisted Tottenham Hotspur in outshining Liverpool in acquiring Micky van de Ven.

The Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf states that Tottenham seems to be on the verge of surpassing Bayern Munich and Liverpool in recruiting Van de Ven.

The Spurs have made moves to rope in James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario this summer, with ex-Fulham winger Manor Solomon set to relocate to North London soon.

The Tottenham squad is looking to form a team that mirrors Ange Postecoglou’s philosophy in the coming weeks, with the club prioritizing its backline.

Last season, they conceded a shocking 63 goals in the Premier League, and Micky van de Ven is now high on Spurs’ list of desired players.

As mentioned by Sky Sports recently, Van de Ven has settled on terms with Tottenham for a prospective £30 million move.

And it appears that Daniel Levy has been instrumental in helping Tottenham defeat competitors like Liverpool to secure the Wolfsburg defender.

Levy’s Assistance in Spurs Outshining Liverpool for Van de Ven

According to De Telegraaf, Tottenham is leading Bayern and Liverpool in the quest to sign Van De Ven.

The report mentioned that Spurs have already agreed to personal terms with the Dutch player who had a multitude of offers.

Nonetheless, Levy turned out to be the most influential person in the process, and now the two clubs only need to settle on a deal.

Despite Wolfsburg’s insistence on a £34.3 million deal, the transfer is anticipated to happen for roughly £30.7 million.

Van de Ven has had a standout season in Germany, establishing himself as a steady player for Wolfsburg.

The 22-year-old is viewed as an extraordinary talent and appears to suit Ange Postecoglou’s strategy well.

Being a left-footed defender with superb ball skills and impressive speed, he fits into Postecoglou’s desire for a high defensive line.

Nevertheless, Tottenham still needs to finalize payment terms with Wolfsburg. But it appears that Spurs are nearing their first central defender acquisition this summer.
