Tottenham Hotspur’s boss, Daniel Levy, is reportedly displeased with Bayern Munich’s ongoing chase for Harry Kane this summer.
Alex Crook, a journalist who disclosed information about the future of the prominent striker on TalkSPORT (10/7 7:40 am), shared this news.
Bayern Munich has submitted their second offer for Harry Kane and still awaits a response.
At this point, it seems highly improbable that Daniel Levy would approve a £68m plus additional amounts deal for his key player.
Attraction to Kane has risen since his contract expires in a year’s time.
There hasn’t been any signs of him signing a new contract which makes clubs think they can engage the 29-year-old player.
The manner which Bayern Munich approached Tottenham regarding Kane has irked Levy.
There’s a hint that he’s pre-approved personal terms with Bayern which could be a cause for concern for Spurs.
But until Tottenham approves the amount, he can’t move to Bayern.
Levy, the Top Man at Tottenham Upset by Bayern’s Chase for Kane
Offering the most recent update on the future of England’s highest scorer, Crook stated: “I received a pointed message from Spurs insiders that all offers would be instantly turned down.
“I don’t expect the stance to change, especially the numbers being discussed wouldn’t sway Daniel Levy to sell his star forward.
“It might need to reach the hundreds of millions to tempt Levy,” he commented.
“Levy is also a bit perturbed as Bayern Munich approached Harry Kane’s representatives before making a formal offer to Tottenham,” he furthered explained.
“This isn’t uncommon in the contemporary transfer world but we’re aware that Daniel Levy is a hard-nosed and ruthless negotiator and he doesn’t plan on selling Harry Kane this summer,
“So, unless Harry makes a direct attempt to push the transfer, I believe he’ll continue being a Tottenham player,” he concluded.
It’s hardly surprising that Levy is discontent with the way Bayern Munich has been dealing to gain Tottenham’s most crucial player.
He had probably hoped that Kane would get an opportunity to converse with new manager Ange Postecoglou prior to such hypotheses beginning.
The Australian coach may need to exert extra effort to persuade Kane to stay at Spurs.
If he still remains at the conclusion of the summer transfer window, he could face a barrage of Kane-related inquiries throughout the season.
