Tottenham Hotspur is among the Premier League clubs closely monitoring Joao Felix’s situation this summer. The Atletico Madrid striker is considering leaving his current club during this transfer window.

A report from 90min suggests that the Portugal international is keen to link up with Paris Saint-Germain and collaborate with Luis Enrique.

Joao Felix’s expected departure from Atletico this summer comes as no shock. Having spent the latter half of the previous season on loan to Chelsea, Felix was not signed by the Blues permanently.

According to 90min, several of Chelsea’s Premier League competitors, including Tottenham, have been alerted to Felix’s situation by his agents. Manchester United, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are all keeping an eye on things.

However, as of now, a transfer to the French Ligue 1 appears most probable. Felix has reportedly told Atletico that he wishes to transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, says a 90min claim.

PSG prefers a loan deal for Felix. Nevertheless, Atletico is determined to secure a £77 million outright sale or a loan deal with a mandatory purchase agreement.

The financial demands of such a deal could make a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a challenging proposition. The club, managed by Ange Postecoglou, needs considerable renovation this window, and they have already brought in a few new players.

Felix’s addition, however, could have been thrilling. Despite not fully realizing his potential so far, his transfer to Madrid not living up to expectations, he’s seen as a ‘special’ talent. Manager Postecoglou is known for extracting the best from his favored players. A mutual interest between Tottenham and Felix could have been game-changing for the club and player alike.

That said, it now appears Felix is more likely to be heading to another club.
