Recent debates have closely associated Tottenham Hotspur with Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
As an example, 90Min, in its April report, named Spurs among the teams keen on the England middle player.
The Telegraph, more lately, suggested that Tottenham views Gallagher as a possible successor for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Expectedly, his acquisition could cost Spurs around £50million.
Alex Crook from TalkSPORT has recently claimed that the widespread speculation about Tottenham’s interest in the 23-year-old is no sham.
His statements on the network -excerpted from their YouTube channel- discuss potential local Chelsea players on their way out.
“This is also a major hurdle for Chelsea,” he noted.
“They’ve already seen Mason Mount move to Manchester United. He was one of their academy’s standout recruits.
“Then there’s Conor Gallagher, who Tottenham is definitively interested in.
“Another academy graduate confronts an uncertain future at the club.”
Our opinion
So far, Tottenham has done remarkably well in the summer transfer window, with four players penned down in recent weeks.
Dejan Kulusevski was acquired permanently, while Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, and Manor Solomon joined recently .
They also welcome their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, with open arms.
Nevertheless, Spurs’ acquisition spree seems far from over, and bringing Gallagher onboard could bolster their squad further.
His previous experience and success in the Premier League validate that Gallagher could be an invaluable asset for Tottenham, potentially turning Chelsea’s loss into their gain.
“Conor’s fervour for the sport is apparent – akin to the enthusiasm of Ray Parlour,” Patrick Vieira lauded about him on Sky Sports in 2021.
“But, he could possess that finishing touch similar to Frank Lampard.
“The focus, concentration, and maximum effort he pours into his game makes him a manager’s delight. I consider that highly important.”

Gallagher has already garnered attention with his skills from Harry Kane, Tottenham’s top striker.
Kane eloquently praised him as ‘exceptional’ when he debuted for England in a match against Switzerland the previous year.
The two have frequently crossed paths in international assignments since then, suggesting that Kane should be well acquainted with Gallagher’s gameplay by now.
