Tottenham Hotspur have had a productive summer transfer window and it appears they are not finished yet.
Recent reports suggest that Spurs are close to securing deals for two defenders.
Tottenham have reportedly made significant progress in their pursuit of Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips.

Furthermore, 90Min has reported that Spurs have held discussions with Barcelona regarding two of their players.
It is believed that Tottenham are attempting to sign former loanee Clement Lenglet and midfielder Franck Kessie.
Spurs have allegedly reached out to Barcelona and made inquiries about the potential signings.
Kessie has been linked with Tottenham throughout the summer as they seek to strengthen their midfield options.
According to 90Min, he has been a long-term target for Spurs, with their last inquiry dating back to December 2022.
Considering Kessie’s uncertain future at Camp Nou, Tottenham may seize the opportunity to make a move.
The report also mentions that the Ivory Coast international is being pursued by the Saudi Pro League and Juventus.
Juve has reportedly made a loan offer for Kessie, while Spurs are still considering their options.
A recent report from Sport gives Tottenham a strong chance of securing Kessie’s signature.
The Spanish outlet suggests that he prioritizes staying where he is or moving to England.
Spurs have shown interest in the player, and he is reportedly interested in joining Postecoglou’s squad.
Our view
Tottenham have made significant strides in strengthening their squad this summer, securing some impressive signings.
Kessie would be an excellent addition to their ranks, as he is a world-class midfielder in his prime.
The 26-year-old was highly regarded during his time at Milan and considered one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

Although Kessie continues to impress at Barcelona, they do not see him as indispensable.
Thus, Tottenham could benefit from the situation and secure his services.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Kessie may not come at a high price.
There have been rumors of a price tag around £30million for the midfielder this summer.
We will have to wait and see what transpires in the coming weeks, but there has been substantial speculation around a potential deal.
