Reactions at Bayern Munich to Uli Hoeness’ Remarks Concerning Harry Kane

Bayern Munich board member Uli Hoeness’ recent statements about Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane have reportedly displeased the German club, according to sports reporter Kerry Hau from Sport1.

Hau reported on Twitter later on Sunday, following Hoeness publicly expressing Bayern’s interest in Harry Kane the day before.

Hoeness also made references to Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, hinting that he is optimistic about Bayern securing a contract with Spurs for Kane.

“In all of our discussions, Harry Kane has clearly indicated he has made a decision – and if that remains the case, then we will have him, because then Tottenham will be obliged to compromise,” Hoeness said to Sport1.

Further adding, that “Levy is intelligent, he hasn’t mentioned a figure yet. Our first task is to make him name a price.

“As he is stalling for time, I believe he is a shrewd, highly professional figure, whom I respect greatly.” These statements were quoted in The Guardian.

However, it appears that Hoeness’ comments on Kane have not been well received by those within Bayern Munich.

In light of these declarations, Sport1 reporter Kerry Hau reported about how Bayern Munich has reacted to the interview.

“Bayern didn’t take well to Uli Hoeness’ bold statements about Harry Kane, deeming them inappropriate and unneeded,” the journalist wrote.

“Yet, they believe that a deal can be solidified with Spurs in the upcoming weeks.”

This has intrigued everyone, as Hoeness unreservedly spoke about Bayern’s keenness in Kane, even as he insinuated that Kane agreed for a transfer to Germany.

The fate of Kane has been in the news recently, and it is probable that Hoeness’ statements will upset some people at Tottenham.

Desperate to retain the 29-year-old, Spurs are hoping to create a winning team under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou in the following weeks.

Meanwhile, they are also wishing to avoid this transfer issue persisting through the summer window.
