TalkSPORT Reporter Suggests Two Tottenham Players Could Exit the Club

Tottenham Hotspur is headed towards another revamp as the new coach, Ange Postecoglou, starts reshaping the team.

Postecoglou’s tenure has begun with the acquisition of a fresh goalkeeper and a significant signing of James Maddison.

It is anticipated that more new faces will join the squad.

However, new arrivals often suggest departures as well. As per TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Ivan Perisic might be on their way to other clubs.

In a live broadcast on TalkSPORT today, Crook announced that transfers for both players seem highly probable.

“Discussing departures from Spurs, as we mentioned a few weeks prior, there seems to be progressing interest in Pierre Hojbjerg from Atletico Madrid, and Ivan Perisic’s transfer, which hasn’t proven beneficial,” Crook said.

Despite playing pivotal roles in Spurs last season, it was ultimately underwhelming.

Specifically, Perisic’s performance has been lackluster, and Hojbjerg has struggled to win unanimous support from the fans.

Whether Tottenham gain any compensation from either player’s transfer is yet to be confirmed.

Significant Choices Ahead

While Hojbjerg may hold a steady spot in Spurs, Ange Postecoglou must imprint his philosophy onto the team even if it means letting go of a few players.

Perisic’s tenure hasn’t yielded the expected results, and he is past his peak. Hojbjerg’s replacement would be necessary if he leaves, but most Spurs supporters believe a suitable substitute is out there.

In the grand scheme of things, players’ arrivals and departures are a constant occurrence. If Tottenham can secure funds from these two transfers to invest in other players, it would be advantageous for the team and Postecoglou.
