Rumours suggest that Tottenham may sign Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi in the upcoming transfer window, but ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon has expressed doubts about his suitability for Spurs.
With some recent significant signings like James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario, exciting times have dawned at Tottenham under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
If their star striker Harry Kane departs, Tottenham may need to bolster their frontline. Kyogo is being lined up as a potential replacement, but as per Neil Lennon’s conversation with The Daily Mail, he feels Kyogo might not meet the Premier League requirements.

Neil Lennon Gives Verdict on Kyogo Furuhashi’s Suitability for Tottenham
All is well in Tottenham’s attacking department, but the scenario will change if Kane decides to part ways with the club.
With Kane’s contract nearing its end, a move away may soon be real. If it happens, Tottenham would need a new high-profile forward to fill the gap.
As per a recent report by The Scottish Sun, Postecoglou is eager to have Kyogo, his former Celtic player, in his squad. Over the last two seasons, Kyogo made a significant impact under Postecoglou.
The 28-year-old Japanese striker scored 34 goals across all tournaments last season – surpassing Kane’s tally. This could be a reason why Postecoglou has shown interest in him.
Contrary to this, Lennon, the previous Celtic manager, opines that this move might not be in Spurs’ best interest.
Expressing his doubts, Lennon said, “I don’t think he could substitute Harry Kane. His playing style is good, but I doubt his consistency in the English Premier League. Plus, Tottenham has Kane, Son (Heung-Min), Kulusevski (Dejan), Richarlison – all world-class players. If Kyogo was to join the Spurs, he would have to surpass these players. He may be suitable for the Premier League, but perhaps not at the highest level.”

TBR’s Analysis:
Kyogo impressed everyone last season while playing for Celtic.
The Japan international significantly contributed to Celtic’s treble win, scoring in both the Scottish FA Cup and the League Cup finals.
However, the Premier League’s competitiveness, pace, and quality are on a different scale, so scoring 34 goals in Scotland might not translate into the same success here.
While Lennon’s questioning may be valid, if Postecoglou believes he can extract the best from Kyogo at Tottenham, their supporters should put their trust in him.
