Reports suggest Tottenham Hotspur is prepared to allow Hugo Lloris to exit the club through a free transfer at the end of this season.
Guglielmo Vicario, recently acquired from Empoli, is anticipated to fill the role of principal goalkeeper for the team next year.
This commitment relegates Lloris to the sidelines and according to Le Parisien, Tottenham might give him his walking papers without any formal transfer.

Hugo Lloris Might Leave Tottenham at No Cost
Lloris, hailed from Lyon, has been with Tottenham since 2012’s summer.
Praised as ‘remarkable’ by Mauricio Pochettino (as per Guardian), this French player has served Tottenham commendably for more than a decade, having been captain for over half of his tenure in North London.
In recent years, however, Lloris hasn’t quite been at his peak. Several blunders from the Frenchman have let the team down, thus his replacement this summer was of top priority.
With Vicario now poised to succeed him, Lloris is expected to seek new opportunities, possibly back in France.
Daniel Levy is not known to give his players the olive branch without something in return. Yet, claims suggest that he is prepared to release Lloris from his contractual obligations.
It is suggested that it is ‘exceptionally probable’ for Tottenham to release him free of cost as a ‘token of acknowledgement’. They do not wish to become an obstacle in his search for a new club.

Observation:
Allowing Lloris to go free of charge is indeed a fitting move by Tottenham.
From an emotional standpoint, this can be seen as a gesture of gratitude for all his contributions over the years.
On the pragmatic end, however, no team might be willing to invest heavily in a 36-year-old, thus letting him go for free would actually save Tottenham up to £100,000 (according to Spotrac) weekly from his salary.
Regardless, Lloris will always be remembered by Tottenham fans as a steadfast presence who loyally served the club for many years.
