Danny Rose, former Tottenham Hotspur player, recently declared Tanguy Ndombele as an outstanding and unique footballer.
While chatting on talkSPORT (27/7/23, 18:14), the 33-year-old expressed his admiration for the Spurs player.
Additionally, Rose expressed his wish for the incoming Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, to offer Ndombele more opportunities to play in the upcoming season.
Ndombele established a record when Spurs signed him in 2019 for a purported £63million.
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old player’s tenure at Tottenham has been marked by challenges, including loans starting in 2022.
In the 2021-22 seasons, he returned to Lyon midway and spent the entire season at Napoli last year.
As Postecoglou hasn’t committed definitively to keeping Ndombele, the player’s future at the club is uncertain.
The French footballer has not yet appeared in pre-season games for Tottenham, although Postecoglou indicated his availability.
With over 200 appearances under his belt during his time with Tottenham, Rose hopes his ex-colleague will have another chance to prove himself.
“During my six months playing alongside Ndombele, I realized how exceptional he is,” Rose stated, expressing optimism about his former teammate’s future at Spurs.

Postecoglou, although only overseeing two pre-season matches so far, appears to be assessing the performances of his players keenly.
Giovani Lo Celso may potentially make a comeback to Spurs’ primary team after an 18-month loan period.
Meanwhile, Ndombele was not included in the matchday squads against West Ham and Lion City Sailors.
Before the Lion City Sailors game, Postecoglou referred to the midfielder as a ‘slow starter’ but confirmed his availability.
Tottenham has friendly matches lined up against Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona. It will be interesting to see if Ndombele gets to play in either of them.
This could be a turning point for Ndombele if he manages to regain his fitness and make an impact for Spurs in the coming season.
