Fabrizio Romano made a revelation that Thomas Tuchel is extremely invested in the idea of recruiting Harry Kane in the upcoming season. However, the forward player has not communicated to Tottenham Hotspur about wanting a transfer yet.

During The Debrief, Romano spoke amidst ongoing rumors about Bayern showing high interest for the popular Tottenham player.

Indications suggest that if Harry Kane were to depart Spurs in the forthcoming season, Bayern would be the front runners. Weekend reports from Bild posited that Bayern hopes to negotiate an agreement for Kane with Daniel Levy before the month ends.

Tuchel’s fixation on Harry Kane

In the light of Romano’s fresh remarks, it doesn’t seem like Tottenham is under any such impression about a potential agreement.

Romano, who is well-informed about the transfer matters, insinuated that Kane has not so far expressed to Spurs about his desire to exit and shift to the Allianz Arena during this window.

Nevertheless, Romano remarked that Thomas Tuchel is leaving no stones unturned for a deal to materialize, with the German coaxing the Bayern management for his recruitment.

He told The Debrief, “Thomas Tuchel, the key person in this story, is fully persuaded that Harry Kane desires to relocate. He also exerts significant internal influence within Bayern and on Kane to make the deal possible. Tuchel’s obsession with Harry Kane is apparent. This faith gives Bayern their confidence. They feel Kane wants to experiment with this unique opportunity in Germany.”

“However, up to this moment, the player hasn’t informed Tottenham explicitly about his aspiration to depart. So while he is communicating with Bayern, he hasn’t sent out any such signals to Tottenham.”

Daniel Levy would unlikely permit Kane to leave unless the ‘outstanding‘ 29-year-old explicitly conveys a desire for an exit.

Kane has a remaining one-year term on his contract. If he extends his stay after the season, that would harbour hope among the Tottenham faithful about the prospect of a renewed contract with the striker.

From Levy’s perspective, retaining Kane would certainly be the preferable scenario. Unless an extraordinarily generous offer is made, it remains doubtful whether the chairman would even entertain the idea of Kane’s departure.

The sole exception might occur if Kane expresses an unequivocal intention of leaving.

What Kane articulates during inevitable future discussions about his professional trajectory with Tottenham would greatly influence many impending outcomes.
