August is here and Tottenham Hotspur supporters anticipate a nerve-wracking month in the midst of the transfer period.
Rumours about star player Harry Kane leaving N17 have not died down.
If Kane decides to stay, it would be superb news for Tottenham, especially if he signs a new contract.

However, if he departs, it would signal the end of a chapter at Spurs, requiring a new leading player on the pitch.
Word has it that Tottenham is eyeing a player who’s under the same banner as the team in talks of signing Kane.
Particularly, Mathys Tel, the striker from Bayern Munich and France.
Recently, The Guardian reported that Spurs have expressed interest in the 18-year-old striker.
However, it’s important to draw attention to a subsequent report by the Daily Mail claiming that Tel is “not overly enthusiastic about a move”.
Yet, there’s still a possibility of Bayern using him as a lever in a negotiation to acquire Kane.
‘Strong and Resolute’
If Tottenham secures Tel, they’d be acquiring one of the hottest young forwards globally.
Looking at his track record, though just 18, he’s already had 28 senior appearances for Bayern.
Furthermore, he’s chalked up six goals – an impressive feat for a teenager in his debut season at such a big club.

Let’s review what media and scouting agencies have expressed about Tel’s ability and potential.
Recently, The Guardian featured him in their Next Generation list as one of the top 60 youngsters in world football.
Football Talent Scout rated Tel’s potential as 10 out of 10 and described him as a “world-class” prospect.
They drew parallels between him and Thierry Henry, favourably noting him as a “complete forward” and a “well-rounded player with the capacity to play multiple positions and attack roles”.
They further characterized Tel as a “determined forward with strong instincts, excellent ball-handling skills, good dribbling ability and astute off-the-ball movements.”
‘He Could Be Exceptional’
Finally, it’s noteworthy to mention what former Bayern director Hasan Salihamidžić felt about Tel when he moved from Rennes last year.
“He’s only 17, yet he possesses attributes which few in the world have,” as quoted by The Guardian.

“He could be exceptional. He’s the premier talent in Europe in his position.”
All in all, Tel appears to be a rising star. Here’s hoping Tottenham manage to secure him, ideally alongside Kane.
