With Tottenham’s pre-season excursion to Australia on the horizon, Ange Postecoglou has given some thought-provoking remarks to the media.
The ex-Celtic manager aims to invigorate the Spurs and strive for triumph in the wake of their regrettable stint last season.
Postecoglou emphasized that an effective summer is instrumental. He expresses a keen interest in offering athletes a shot. While he acknowledges the importance of recent recruits, he also presents the possibility for peripheral team members to make their mark.

Regrettably, goalkeeper Fraser Forster will not have the chance to prove himself to the new manager.
In a conversation with Football.London, Postecoglou verified that Forster is dealing with a back issue, and thus will not be part of the journey.
“We have a few that won’t make it. Rodrigo Bentancur is still on the side-lines. Fraser Forster is dealing with a back problem and won’t be joining us. There are some others too. We’ll see how things progress. Ideally, I would like as much of the squad as possible to travel and begin fostering teamwork and rapport,” Postecoglou explained.
Without a doubt, this newest injury will be a letdown for Forster. With Hugo Lloris no longer part of the team, he had a shot at becoming the first-string goalkeeper, even with the recent addition of Vicario to the team.
A golden opportunity for Vicario
Fraser Forster was looking forward to showcasing his skills in the pre-season and kick off the new season as the primary goalkeeper.
However, this significant hurdle has appeared, paving the way for newcomer Vicario to gain recognition.
If they are to enjoy a successful season, Spurs will need stalwart performances from their goalkeeper. As such, Forster’s setback is unfortunately not the best start to the season.
