Emerging news from Italy indicates that Tottenham Hotspur now has a challenger from another Premier League team for the acquisition of Andrea Cambiaso.
As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, several teams are keen on the defender in this summer transfer period, and it appears that Tottenham is among them.
Nottingham Forest has been identified as the other Premier League club showing interest in signing the player during this summer’s transfer window.
Although Juventus doesn’t appear eager to let go of him this transfer season, discussions with potential suitors are expected to carry on for now.

Another Premier League Club Eying Tottenham’s Target Cambiaso
Even if Juventus has shown reluctance to sell, all players come at a price. Other reports suggest that a figure of around £21million could secure his signature.
The 23-year-old full-back is considered a rising star and stood out during his loan spell at Serie A team Bologna last season. He’s deemed a potential asset to Spurs.
Tottenham already has a good number of players for the left-back position in their squad, including Sergio Reguilon, Ben Davies, Ivan Perisic, and Destiny Udogie.
However, with Perisic nearing the end of his career and Udogie just beginning, and with questions around Reguilon’s adequacy, and Davies seen more as a versatile player rather than a permanent left-back.

The acquisition of a player like Cambiaso could significantly boost the quality of the left-back position. With another Premier League team also showing interest, it seems Tottenham may have to make a move soon.
If the North London team wants the Italian player enough, they will need to make a substantial offer. Given the squad revamp this summer and some admirable signings already made, they should be able to table an adequate offer if they truly aim to land him.
