Newly joined Tottenham Hotspur player, Manor Solomon, has made a strong impression at N17.
The Israel international was signed to Spurs this summer without a transfer fee and signed a deal lasting till 2028.
Solomon performed remarkably in both of Tottenham’s pre-season games against West Ham and Lion City Sailors.
Besides, the 24-year-old has shown great form in training, exciting his new teammates at Spurs with his skills.
Solomon, previously a player for Shakhtar Donetsk, was permitted a free exit this summer.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine led to a FIFA ruling allowing non-Ukrainian players to pause their contracts.
Solomon’s contract with Shakhtar, due to end in December this year, had a remaining tenure of six months.
The FIFA decision, however, has been extended for another year, outlasting his contract’s original termination date.
This Sunday, a charity match will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Solomon’s previous team as the guests.
This match represents the first chance for Tottenham’s fresh acquisitions to showcase their skills at their new high-tech home ground.
In a recent conversation with Tottenham’s official website, Solomon shared his eagerness to play on the N17 turf.
“The anticipation is high,” he remarked in the Spurs Diary Room Q&A, as disclosed on the team’s website.
“My first visit to the stadium came just days after I joined. It’s a magnificent sight, and I can’t wait to perform there.”
In a fun note, Solomon declares himself a non-believer in ghosts and it appears that ‘Solo’ is his new moniker at Tottenham.
