Tottenham is keenly pursuing a fresh recruit for their defense, a fact confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

The team’s present objective is to secure Edmund Tapsoba or Micky van de Ven as their new defender.

Both players are part of the Bundesliga at the moment, and Tottenham sees a possibility of concluding a deal for either one. However, the price demanded by Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg has been a significant hurdle.

Fabrizio Romano reports that this week Tottenham will be negotiating and aiming to conclude a contract for either Tapsoba or Van de Ven, subject to financial conditions.
