Arne Slot aims to seize the opportunity following Tottenham Hotspur’s renouncement of Arnaut Danjuma, as Feyenoord is considering a summer loan deal for the forward.
As reported by De Telegraaf, the Feyenoord manager regards the Dutch player as the ideal match for his squad’s strategy.
It’s clear that Arnaut Danjuma won’t form a part of Spurs’ team in the upcoming season. The 26-year-old joined on loan in the January transfer period but the arrangement didn’t benefit any party involved.
Slot Contemplates Acquiring Danjuma for Feyenoord
The Evening Standard reported that Tottenham had an opportunity to permanently draft Danjuma for £27 million, but they decided against it.
This decision wouldn’t surprise many fans. However, the change of leadership in Tottenham might have renewed considerations for a deal.
Still, it’s likely that Danjuma won’t be a part of the scenario at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. The situation might benefit someone who was rumored to be a successor for Spurs’ manager role before.
The Daily Mail suggested that Arne Slot was Tottenham’s primary choice to step in for Antonio Conte. Regardless, Slot made a decision to remain at De Kuip. Tottenham had to change their plans and approached Ange Postecoglou instead.
De Telegraaf now confirms that Slot is aiming to bring in Danjuma on loan for his team in the Netherlands.
It would be exciting to observe how Danjuma performs in the Eredivisie under Slot’s guidance. Of course, Tottenham fans might not pay too much attention to his performance in this league, should he decide to make the move. But his abilities are unquestionable.
He is an ‘outstanding’ player with a solid track record from Villarreal. Hence, Tottenham fans could understandably be curious about his progress, were he to join forces with Slot for the upcoming season.
