Journalist Exposes Shakhtar’s Game Plan Following Tottenham’s Procurement of Solomon

Alex Crook, a journalist, has offered a glimpse into Shakhtar Donetsk’s intentions in the wake of Manor Solomon’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

On TalkSPORT, Crook delved into the possible transference of the player from Israel to North London.

As stated in a publication from The Athletic, Manor Solomon is poised to be the fourth individual signed by Tottenham this season.

The team’s new leader, Ange Postecoglou, has already brought in three new players this summer: James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, and Dejan Kulusevski (who was initially on loan but is now a permanent fixture).

The Australian leader continues to bolster the team, but there’s still a considerable amount of work to be done towards enhancing the current crop of players.

Tottenham experienced an underwhelming performance last season, ending up in the eighth position.

Solomon is anticipated to be the next addition to Tottenham, following his loan stint at Fulham from Shakhtar.

However, his contract arrangement is indeed thought-provoking; although it could be advantageous for Spurs, there might be additional layers to the narrative.

Shakhtar’s Strategy After Tottenham Secures Solomon

Commenting on the 23-year-old’s professional future, Crook stated, “Shakhtar’s predicament evokes compassion. I believe they will be pressing for a settlement from FIFA.”

“Although his contract has lapsed, the Ukraine conflict prompted FIFA to permit non-Ukrainian sportsmen to withdraw from their agreements essentially. Consequently, he was loaned to Fulham while still being affiliated with Shakhtar.”

“Now that his contract has officially ceased, Shakhtar is contending that they would have traded him for roughly £30-£40 million in a regular setting a year prior. Now, a highly valued commodity leaves without earning them anything.”

“FIFA’s reaction to this will be fascinating to watch.”

“From Tottenham’s viewpoint, Solomon is an astutely strategised acquisition. He has proven his worth in the Premier League and aligns well with Postecoglou’s game plan, providing the team with much-needed depth.”

Tottenham hopes to finalise the deal surrounding Solomon’s transfer from Shakhtar without having to enter into long-winded negotiations.

The young wingman proved his mettle while playing for Fulham in the previous season after recovering from a severe knee ailment.

While he isn’t expected to be in the starting lineup immediately, he will provide an invigorating alternative from the bench.

Though Postecoglou’s strategy for the team is gradually falling into place, there is still a considerable amount of groundwork to be covered before the season kick-off in just six weeks.
