Emerson Royal, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has extended admiration towards Richarlison following the forward’s hat-trick in today’s match against Lion City Sailors.
The encounter between Spurs and the Singapore Premier League side was their summer’s second friendly and took place this Wednesday afternoon.
The team under Ange Postecoglou’s control reigned throughout the first half but surprisingly found themselves in a disadvantage after 13 minutes into the match.
Despite being behind, Tottenham pressed on and created scoring opportunities, with James Maddison, Harry Kane and Pape Matar Sarr all coming close to scoring.
Postecoglou opted for an extensive reshuffle at halfway, replacing Kane with Richarlison after the English player balanced the scoreboard from the penalty spot.

Having entered as a substitute, Richarlison scored twice quickly at the beginning of the second half and added his third goal in additional time.
Emerson Royal was undoubtedly left in awe by Richarlison’s performance as Tottenham secured a 5-1 victory.
Emerson Applauds ‘Astounding’ Richarlison
In a video shared on Tottenham’s official Twitter account, Richarlison and Royal conversed with the club’s media representatives post-match.
After acknowledging his teammate’s greatness, Royal humorously took credit for setting up Richarlison’s hat-trick goal.
Royal stated that the Spurs defender is extraordinary and deserves every bit of praise for his goals. He ended by expressing happiness for assisting in the scoring of the final goal, followed by a chuckle.

Richarlison had a challenging time making a mark at Spurs during the previous season after transitioning from Everton.
The 26-year-old managed to score only once in the Premier League, struggling to secure a steady position in the Tottenham lineup.
The Brazilian forward’s performance was hampered by injuries, causing him to miss 11 matches throughout the season.
However, he appears to be thriving under Postecoglou’s management and seems aptly suited for the number 9 spot in the Australian’s team.
His position in the team is far from guaranteed due to tough competition from Harry Kane. However, given the uncertain future of the English player, Richarlison might end up as Tottenham’s main striker this season.
