According to numerous reports, Tottenham is on the brink of acquiring a player who has supposedly been an avid supporter of the team since childhood.

As per The Athletic, lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter Manor Solomon is just steps away from becoming an official player for his beloved club.

Undeterred in the transfer market, Tottenham continues to make strategic moves. Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro, after successful loan periods, have been offered permanent contracts, and Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison have been confirmed as the first new recruits of the summer season.

From Shakhtar Donetsk, winger Manor Solomon could be the next new addition to Spurs. Having completed a loan season with Fulham, he is now in line to transfer to Tottenham free of charge, thanks in part to his current contract situation.

For Solomon, who supported Tottenham through his childhood in Israel, this transfer would represent a childhood dream realized. It is assumed that he will be called upon to fill the void left by the departures of Lucas Moura and Arnaut Danjuma, and will be pitted against Son Heung-min for starting position. Solomon has proven himself a worthy sub during his stint at Craven Cottage.

Solomon: A lifelong Tottenham supporter

The Athletic’s report would suggest that Tottenham’s interest in Solomon, and his reciprocal feelings, are in perfect harmony. Since his childhood, Solomon had an affinity for the team, drawn partly to its significant Jewish fanbase. As soon as Tottenham’s interest was confirmed, his transfer seemed more or less a given.

Solomon’s style of play seems to mesh well with the approach of Ange Postecoglou. As a winger, Solomon prefers to cut from left to right, favoring his dominant right foot. While Postecoglou might possibly encourage him to stick to the touchline and focus on crossing, Solomon’s competence in outpacing defenders should prove advantageous to the squad.

Whether Solomon gets a lot of game time is still to be seen, but it’s unlikely that he’s going to permanently unseat Son. Considering that Tottenham isn’t involved in European football this season, Solomon’s participation may be confined to cup matches. However, Postecoglou is expected to field stronger teams in these fixtures as the club navigates its ambition to win trophies.

Solomon’s childhood connection to Tottenham may give him an edge of tolerance that other substitute players might not have. He will have the opportunity to exhibit his abilities and compete for a regular role upon his official incorporation into the team.
