Potential Sale of Two Players from Tottenham in the Upcoming Summer Transfer Window

Tottenham Hotspur might let go of players Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga in the summer transfer window.

Paul Gilmour speculates on the future of these two players in the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel.

The Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou, has several difficult choices ahead of him this summer.

The manager is overseeing one of the largest first-team squads in the Premier League at the moment.

This situation isn’t entirely negative as the pre-season offers an excellent opportunity to evaluate all his players.

Postecoglou has already granted players such as Tanguy Ndombele the chance to shine, despite Ndombele spending the last season on loan.

However, Postecoglou needs to start parting ways with some players sooner than later, giving them enough time to find a new team.

The two players who may face this fate are Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga.

Rodon, who wasn’t included in Antonio Conte’s plans last season, spent the entire year on loan with Stade Rennais.

Tanganga, despite staying with the club, spent most of the season benched.

Tottenham Might Sell Rodon and Tanganga

According to Gilmour, Rodon and Tanganga might be considered for sale. “Given their current circumstances, Rodon and Tanganga, these players seem to be likely candidates for a sale,” Gilmour observed.

“However, at this stage of pre-season, players are still trying to impress and perform well. Therefore, we cannot yet rule out some surprising strong performances that Postecoglou might think can fit into his system.”

Joe Rodon has reportedly garnered interest from other Premier League teams this summer.

Rodon, who hails from Wales, hasn’t had a fair opportunity to prove his worth at Spurs after his transfer from Swansea City.

Japhet Tanganga, on the other hand, had his breakout moment under the management of Jose Mourinho, who had placed great trust in the versatile defender.

However, Antonio Conte’s strategy was not suitable for the 24-year-old Tanganga, although he did manage to play in Tuesday’s friendly against West Ham.

Both Rodon and Tanganga should seriously consider their next steps at Tottenham.

If they do not get a clear indication from Postecoglou about their significant involvement in the team, it could be in their best interests to look for a move this summer for their career progression.

Furthermore, Spurs are rumored to be in pursuit of at least one centre-back in this transfer window, adding further uncertainty for the two players.
