Tottenham seems to be inching towards acquiring Edmund Tapsoba, Bayer Leverkusen’s defender, as their representatives recently met in London.
Tapsoba is presently Tottenham’s primary objective in the defensive arena, and they hope to secure his services soon.

The clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee, which has been a considerable obstacle to closing the deal.
However, journalist Sacha Tavolieri believes that persuading Tapsoba to join Tottenham will not be a tough task. Tavolieri reports that promising contract negotiations were held with Tapsoba’s agents in London over the weekend.
Tottenham is reportedly preparing an initial offer of roughly £26m for Tapsoba. The German team, however, is hoping for closer to £45m in return for the defender.
Tottenham redoubling their efforts to sign the ‘outstanding’ Tapsoba might draw the curtain on their pursuit of Micky van de Ven.
Although Van de Ven is eager to play for Tottenham, his current club, Wolfsburg, is not keen on letting him go.
The primary choice
Tottenham views Tapsoba as their ideal candidate, and for good reasons.
Tapsoba’s speed will be a significant advantage in the Premier League. Next to Cristian Romero, he could be a tremendous addition.
While the agreement on the transfer fee is pending, Tottenham appears to be committed to Tapsoba. If this is indeed the scenario, Daniel Levy must conclude the deal as soon as possible.
