Italian publication Corriere dello Sport provides additional information regarding Napoli’s transfer intentions for the summer.

Ange Postecoglou is required to make a number of crucial decisions concerning his team before the transfer window concludes.

Currently, his team size is too large for their Premier League schedule, hence several players will need to be transferred.

Whether these transfers are permanent or temporary is still unclear, as no player seems to be on the brink of a departure.

At the beginning of the summer, Giovani Lo Celso seemed like a strong contender for a Tottenham exit.

Last season, he was loaned to Villarreal and was not expected to continue his career at Tottenham under Antonio Conte’s management.

However, the Argentine player’s performance in training has impressed Ange Postecoglou.

Last season, Napoli’s initial aim was to recruit Lo Celso on loan, but they had to compromise with Tanguy Ndombele instead.

Now, Napoli is committed to recruiting Lo Celso and adding him to their team at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The £27m midfielder could potentially provide Spurs with funds for improvements in other squad areas.

James Maddison’s recruitment indicates Postecoglou’s desire for more creativity among his central players.

Lo Celso can provide this, as his pre-season performance in Australia and Asia was outstanding.
