Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy, has expressed early interest in securing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, as a potential successor to Harry Kane.
It’s the usual season for Spurs fans, filled with ongoing speculation surrounding Kane’s future. As Kane enters his contract’s final year, it looks increasingly likely he will move on.
Bayern Munich has shown active interest in signing Kane this summer. Should Kane choose to leave, Levy would need to find a substitute. According to Christian Falk’s report on CaughtOffside, an approach was made towards Victor Osimhen, but unfortunately, this news may disappoint Spurs supporters.

Victor Osimhen Rejected Levy’s Attempt to Sign Him to Tottenham
Currently one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, Victor Osimhen has naturally garnered interest from Tottenham for a possible summer transfer.
The Nigerian forward played a significant role in Napoli’s first Scudetto victory in more than 30 years last season, delivering 31 goals and assisting five others.
Even though Napoli is eager to retain Osimhen, rumours of a possible move continue to swirl.
In his discussion regarding Bayern’s interest in Kane, Falk revealed that Levy made an unsuccessful attempt to sign Osimhen from Napoli as a prospective replacement striker, with Osimhen turning down Tottenham’s offer.
Falk reported: “Daniel Levy, determined to get another striker, tried to sign Victor Osimhen but was answered with a rejection.
“Like Kane, Osimhen also wants to win titles and doesn’t believe Tottenham offers him the best opportunity to do so.”

The Perspective from TBR
There was never a substantial likelihood that Tottenham would succeed in signing Victor Osimhen during this summer transfer window for several reasons.
Napoli is highly unwilling to let Osimhen go, placing an exorbitant price tag of £150 million (according to the Daily Mail) on their prized player. This amount is more than four times what Spurs spent to acquire James Maddison earlier in the window.
Additionally, even if Tottenham were prepared to meet Napoli’s asking price, it is improbable that Osimhen would be willing to leave the reigning Serie A champions for a team that won’t be playing in any European tournament in the upcoming season.
Regardless of the unlikelihood of this transfer coming to fruition, the fact that Levy is actively seeking a replacement suggests the possibility of Kane’s departure in the near future.
