Tottenham has expressed interest in Tosin Adarabioyo for this summer’s transfer window, however, recent developments suggest the player may be eyeing a different path.
Speculations indicate that Tottenham admire the player, who is keen to depart Fulham this summer.
Reportedly, the centre-back could be obtainable for a projected £13million.
Several other clubs are also showing interest in Adarabioyo, and rumours reveal that Ligue 1 Monaco is quite enthusiastic about acquiring him.
Emerging updates from journalist Santi Aouna imply that the ‘rapid‘ player is more attracted to a transition to Monaco than to Spurs.
“He posted: “Monaco and Adarabioyo are close to reaching an agreement.
“Tottenham has extended an offer to the player, however, he is more inclined towards ASM.
“So far, no official proposal from ASM to Fulham. But it should be coming soon. ASM desires Adarabioyo and Salisu.”
Adarabioyo, Tottenham’s target, prefers moving elsewhere
Tottenham’s aspirations could be dampened as Adarabioyo prefers a switch to Monaco over them in this summer’s transfer window.
The team strongly needs to bolster their defence. Even with a defensively inclined manager like Antonio Conte, Tottenham has conceded more goals than most teams in the league.
The abilities of some present centre-backs just aren’t up to par. The team needs to reinforce its defence in order to climb higher in the standings next season.
This summer will be pivotal for the club. Some acquisitions have already been made, and further signings seem quite probable.
Regrettably, it seems Monaco is the Fulham defender’s choice. If he is available for approximately £13million, then it appears to be an excellent deal for the club that secures his services.
