Ange Postecoglou, a New Admirer of Tottenham’s £55k-a-week Player, According to Alasdair Gold

Ange Postecoglou, the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has developed a fondness for midfielder Yves Bissouma after their pre-season collaborations.

Reports of this sentiment were provided by journalist Alasdair Gold, who recently covered the initial training week at Hotspur Way.

Postecoglou has spent a few days working closely with various members of his Tottenham team.

A good number of players are enjoying a break following last month’s international bouts.

Nevertheless, a significant group are sacrificing holidays to train with the Australian manager ahead of their pre-season tour.

Given the previous disappointing season, several Tottenham players have points to prove in the upcoming months.

Bissouma, who had a tough first year at the club, is among them.

Bissouma, after a £25m transfer from Brighton, experienced setbacks during his inaugural season with Spurs due to injuries and uneven performance.

He was overshadowed by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur under Antonio Conte’s reign.

Regardless, Postecoglou appears to have taken a liking to Bissouma, signaling positive news for the Mali international.

Postecoglou’s affection for Tottenham Midfielder Bissouma

Detailed through his YouTube channel, Gold highlighted which players were present and participating in training.

During this, he dedicated some time to Bissouma, the 26-year-old, and mentioned: “Even in the absence of the international squad members, we have players like Hugo Lloris, Yves Bissouma, who Postecoglou seems fond of.

Bissouma has quickly become a favorite of Postecoglou.

However, it’s worth mentioning that Bissouma was also favored by former coaches, Mason and Wells.

Their praise for Bissouma was likely echoed to Postecoglou. It seems that he quickly realized Bissouma’s potential, promising a positive season for him.”

With a £55,000 weekly wage, Bissouma might see more chances to play in the upcoming season.

With Hojbjerg potentially leaving and Bentancur still recovering from injury, Bissouma’s introduction stands to increase.

If Postecoglou’s fondness for Bissouma is anything to go by, his off-stage performance has been impressive.

As per Tottenham player Japhet Tanganga, it seems Bissouma was moved to tears during training sessions.
